General Appearance

The Briard looks a bit like a shaggy teddy bear. It has a long, wavy coat of fur and a face fit with a beard and mustache. Fur is generally fawn, black, or grey, but is not bi-color. Historically, it had cropped ears but today ears are usually left natural to hang along the Briard’s head. This breed is between 23 and 27 inches at the shoulders.

Temperament
